I’m a brazilian researcher with a PhD in Communication Studies: Technology, Culture and Society at Minho University in Portugal.
This research was funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My interests are in the domains of the Political Economy of Communication, with a particular focus on the issue of Internet infrastructure control, privacy and surveillance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My interest in the relationship between technology, culture and society began with the research monograph in which I discussed the relationship between new technologies and the cultural product, presented in 2009 at the Cultural Production undergraduate course at the Fluminense Federal University (Niter\u00f3i, RJ, Brazil) entitled “Selling wine without botles”, anticipating what became the cultural consume online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I also graduated in Design, with a specialization in Digital Design (INFNET Institute, Rio de Janeiro, BR), which helped me to work in the areas of web development, knowledge processing and data visualization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I have a Master’s Degree in Management and Cultural Studies (ISCTE, Lisbon, PT) in which I defended the dissertation entitled ‘Government, Civil Society and the Challenges in the Publication of Open Data: The Case of the Database of the National Program of Support to Culture in Brasil\u201d<\/a>. This work was used as a reference in a study by the federal government of Brazil of Mapping and Participatory Management for Culture<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Member of POLObs, an Observatory of Policies on Communication and Culture<\/a> that operates across the three research groups of the Communication and Society Research Centre (CECS\/UMinho, PT).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Member of a reseach group from Institute of Advanced Studies of the University of S\u00e3o Paulo, which deals with subjects related to the symbiosis between human and technology<\/a> (USP, SP – BR)<\/p>\n\n\n\n I am also participate of the research group Telas – Research Laboratory in Economics, Technology and Communication Policies<\/a> (UFC, CE – BR).<\/p>\n\n\n\n In addition to my research interests, I worked in the editorial field, as a freelancer designer and as an executive producer on interdisciplinary cultural projects<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Bio – PT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Doutorada em Estudos da Comunica\u00e7\u00e3o: Tecnologia, Cultura e Sociedade na Universidade do Minho (Portugal), com pesquisa financiada pela Funda\u00e7\u00e3o para a Ci\u00eancia e a Tecnologia. Os seus interesses est\u00e3o nos dom\u00ednios da Economia Pol\u00edtica da Comunica\u00e7\u00e3o, com particular incid\u00eancia no tema do controle das infraestruturas da Internet. Estuda as rela\u00e7\u00f5es entre cultura e tecnologia h\u00e1 mais de 10 anos. Tal interesse come\u00e7ou a se consolidar com a monografia intitulada ‘As Novas Tecnologias na Frui\u00e7\u00e3o do Produto Cultural, defendida em 2009, no curso de Produ\u00e7\u00e3o Cultural da Universidade Federal Fluminense (Niter\u00f3i, RJ). \u00c9 graduada em tamb\u00e9m em Design (ESDD\u2013 INFNET, Rio de Janeiro, 2011); \u00e9 mestre em Gesta\u0303o e Estudos da Cultura pelo ISCTE (Lisboa, 2015). Integra o POLObs, um Observato\u0301rio de Poli\u0301ticas de Cie\u0302ncia, Comunicac\u0327a\u0303o e Cultura transversal aos grupos de pesquisa do Centro de Estudos de Comunicac\u0327a\u0303o e Sociedade (CECS\/UMinho, PT). Participa do grupo de estudos sobre temas relacionados \u00e0s simbioses entre humano e tecnologia, da C\u00e1tedra Oscar Sala, no Instituto de Estudos Avan\u00e7ados da Universidade de S\u00e3o Paulo (USP, SP). Participa do Telas – Laborat\u00f3rio de Pesquisa em Economia, Tecnologia e Pol\u00edticas da Comunica\u00e7\u00e3o (UFC, CE).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Curriculum (PT)<\/strong> Doutora em Estudos de Comunica\u00e7\u00e3o: Tecnologia, Cultura e Sociedade, \u00e1rea cient\u00edfica pertencente \u00e0s Ci\u00eancias da Comunica\u00e7\u00e3o. A tese intitulada \u201cIdeologia , discurso e Internet : uma an\u00e1lise dos discursos parlamentares sobre a neutralidade da rede, em Portugal e no Brasil ( 2006-2019 )\u201d foi defendida no dia 20 de maio de 2021. A investiga\u00e7\u00e3o foi financiada pela Funda\u00e7\u00e3o para a Ci\u00eancia e a Tecnologia (PD\/BD\/128177\/2016).

De forma complementar foi constru\u00edda uma visualiza\u00e7\u00e3o dos dados recolhidos, com o aux\u00edlio do software Gephi . Este recurso ajudou em momentos pontuais da an\u00e1lise pois possibilitou uma consulta de uma forma mais org\u00e2nica e r\u00e1pida.
